For women, their hair says a lot about themselves. A lot of statements can be shared with a fantastic hair, it can say sexy, sophisticated, glamorous, and exude confidence. Losing one’s hair can take all of these away. Female hair loss is so much more devastating than male hair loss. Some men deliberately shave their hair, you will never see a woman do this, unless you’re Demi Moore, Sinead O’Connor or other big name stars who had to do it because they got paid big and it’s their job.
Female pattern baldness is somewhat slightly different from their male counterpart. In female pattern baldness, there is significant hair loss but being totally bald is a rarity. Most of the tame, a clean scalp is unheard of and there is still some hair left on the area where the pattern started.
Many experts say that female pattern baldness can be attributed to aging, hormones, and genetics. Different from hair loss, female pattern baldness has permanent effects. The male hormone testosterone which can also be found in female, albeit in lower numbers, also causes female pattern baldness.
When compared, male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness have different ways of happening. Sometimes, a woman may have thinning hair from the top of her head and yet have full hair on her hairline. Sometimes, female pattern baldness can occur all over the scalp but will not result to full baldness. This can happen though but only rarely.
