As we all grow older, and as our bodies slow down and start having a harder time doing the duties of old, many changes start to occur. We may feel more tired, we may see that our skin is less supple, and we may notice our hair getting thinner. Although the onset of such symptoms does not take place until one nears fifty, some people are genetically predisposed to manifest these symptoms much earlier. In particular, thinning hair or slow balding can be embarrassing, not to mention alarming.
In females, balding can be a hard way to greet one’s age. Thankfully, hair restoration techniques are available that can allow women to have their hair back, or to at least have some hair on their scalp that will not make them look like they are starting to go bald. One such procedure involves transplanting healthy hairs from part of a person’s scalp, and then transferring these hairs to another part of the scalp where the hair is no longer growing. This hair transplantation technique has been modified and is so designed to make the scalp look like that it has natural hair on it.
Another way for hair restoration to occur is through the injection of steroids into a person’s scalp. These steroids need to be administered early on in one’s balding so as to maximize the steroid’s effects. Another way is to use medication, although medication will not so much allow hair to grow again as it will stop the baldness from progressing. These are only a few options for hair restoration, as more research is still being done in order to find more ways to make hair restoration more efficient for more women, and for more cases of female hair loss.
